Other items necessary to close the deal are matters of state and local laws that are imposed to ensure newly transferred properties are in compliance with various safety, conservation, and environmental laws. Smoke detectors and the water heater are but two examples that may need to be brought to code. Your Pacifica West Properties agent will know which laws apply to the city your purchased property is in. Typically, the Seller pays for these costs as determined in the RPA. It is important to always check that these items have been brought to code in the final buyer walk-through.
